Day 1: Guwahati – Dirang
Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and begin your scenic drive towards Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. Travel through changing landscapes, mountain roads and peaceful valleys. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. If time permits, explore the local village surroundings and enjoy views of the Dirang Valley. Overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 2: Dirang – Sela Pass – Tawang
After breakfast, proceed towards Tawang through one of the most spectacular mountain routes of Arunachal Pradesh. Cross the breathtaking Sela Pass and visit Sela Lake. Continue past Jaswant Garh War Memorial and stop at the beautiful Nuranang Falls near Jang, subject to road and time conditions. Arrive in Tawang by evening and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 3: Tawang Monastery & Local Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring the spiritual and cultural side of Tawang. Visit the magnificent Tawang Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India, and explore its prayer halls and peaceful surroundings. Continue to the Tawang War Memorial, local markets and other nearby attractions. In the evening, enjoy the calm mountain atmosphere of Tawang. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 4: Tawang – Dirang
After breakfast, begin your return journey towards Dirang. Travel once again through the dramatic Himalayan landscape around Sela Pass and enjoy scenic stops along the route, depending on weather and road conditions. Reach Dirang by evening, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 5: Dirang – Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back towards Guwahati. Enjoy the final views of Arunachal Pradesh’s mountains and valleys as you descend towards Assam. On arrival, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, concluding your memorable Tawang Monastery Tour.
