Day 1: Arrival in Agartala – City Sightseeing
Arrive at Agartala Airport or Railway Station and transfer to your hotel. After some rest, begin with Ujjayanta Palace, an elegant former royal residence that offers an introduction to the region’s history and culture. Later, explore the city’s markets and discover Tripura’s bamboo, cane and handloom crafts. Overnight stay in Agartala.
Day 2: Agartala – Sepahijala – Neermahal
Set out after breakfast for Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, where forest landscapes and birdlife provide a refreshing change from the city. Continue towards Rudrasagar Lake and take a boat ride, when operational, to Neermahal. Explore the distinctive water palace and its royal architecture before returning to Agartala. Overnight stay in Agartala.
Day 3: Agartala – Udaipur
Today, drive to Udaipur, often called the Lake City of Tripura. Visit the revered Tripura Sundari Temple and spend time around the town’s tranquil lakes and cultural landmarks. The slower pace of Udaipur offers an opportunity to experience another side of Tripura beyond its capital. Overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 4: Udaipur – Pilak – Unakoti
After breakfast, continue your journey through Tripura with a visit to Pilak, an archaeological site noted for sculptures and remains associated with Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Later, travel towards the Unakoti region, passing through rural landscapes and small settlements. Check in on arrival and relax. Overnight stay near Unakoti or Kailashahar.
Day 5: Unakoti – Agartala
Begin the morning at Unakoti, famous for its remarkable rock-cut carvings and massive stone reliefs set amid a forested landscape. Explore the archaeological and spiritual surroundings before starting the drive back to Agartala. Reach the capital by evening and enjoy some free time for shopping or local cuisine. Overnight stay in Agartala.
Day 6: Agartala – Departure
