Day 1: Guwahati – Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and begin the scenic drive to Shillong. En route, pause at the beautiful Umiam Lake, surrounded by green hills. Continue to Shillong, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, explore Police Bazaar and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of Meghalaya’s capital. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2: Shillong – Cherrapunji
After breakfast, travel towards Cherrapunji, one of Meghalaya’s most spectacular nature destinations. Along the way, visit Elephant Falls and enjoy panoramic views from selected viewpoints. Continue to Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave and Eco Park, depending on time and local conditions. Check in to your hotel in Cherrapunji. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Day 3: Cherrapunji – Living Root Bridge & Nature Exploration
Wake up amid the misty hills of Cherrapunji and spend the day exploring its natural treasures. Visit a Living Root Bridge and walk through lush forest trails surrounded by streams and tropical vegetation. Depending on the chosen route and fitness level, additional caves, waterfalls or viewpoints can be included. Return to your hotel after a refreshing day in nature. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Day 4: Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
Leave Cherrapunji after breakfast and proceed towards Mawlynnong. Explore the beautifully maintained village surroundings before continuing to Dawki. Visit the famous Umngot River and enjoy an optional boat ride when river and weather conditions are suitable. Later, drive back through Meghalaya’s scenic countryside to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 5: Shillong Nature & Local Sightseeing
Enjoy a relaxed day exploring Shillong’s natural and cultural attractions. Visit Ward’s Lake, Shillong Peak, Lady Hydari Park and other selected local sights. Spend some time discovering local handicrafts, cafés and markets or simply enjoy the cool hill weather. In the evening, return to your hotel for your final night in Meghalaya. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 6: Shillong – Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. As you leave the Khasi Hills behind, carry home memorable experiences of Meghalaya’s waterfalls, caves, forest trails, living root bridges and crystal-clear river landscapes.
