Day 1: Dimapur – Kohima
Arrive at Dimapur Airport or Railway Station and drive towards Kohima. After reaching the hill capital, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, explore the local market and enjoy views of the surrounding hills. The evening is free to experience local cuisine and the laid-back atmosphere of Kohima. Overnight stay in Kohima.
Day 2: Kohima – Dzukou Valley Trek
After an early breakfast, drive to the trekking point and begin your journey towards Dzukou Valley. Trek through forested mountain trails before reaching the open valley, famous for its rolling green hills and seasonal wildflowers. Spend time exploring the spectacular surroundings before settling into the available trekking accommodation or campsite. Overnight stay in Dzukou Valley.
Day 3: Dzukou Valley – Kohima
Wake up to beautiful views of the valley and enjoy a peaceful morning amid the hills. Explore nearby trails and viewpoints before beginning the trek back to the roadhead. From there, drive to Kohima and check in to your hotel. The remainder of the evening is free for rest after the trek. Overnight stay in Kohima.
Day 4: Kohima – Khonoma Village – Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Khonoma, a scenic village known for its terraced landscapes, history and community-led conservation traditions. Explore the village with a local guide where available before returning to Kohima. Later, visit the Kohima War Cemetery and other selected attractions depending on time. Overnight stay in Kohima.
Day 5: Kohima – Dimapur – Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Dimapur. Depending on your flight or train schedule, enjoy some free time before transferring to Dimapur Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. The tour concludes with memorable experiences of Kohima’s heritage and the spectacular landscapes of Dzukou Valley.
