Day 1: Arrival in Kochi – Munnar
Arrive at Kochi Airport or Railway Station and begin your scenic journey to Munnar, Kerala’s famous hill station. Drive through lush tea plantations, spice gardens and beautiful waterfalls. Stop at popular viewpoints along the route before reaching Munnar. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by misty mountains and tea gardens.
Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake and the scenic tea plantations spread across the hills. Explore the Tea Museum to learn about Munnar’s rich tea heritage and enjoy panoramic views of the Western Ghats throughout the day. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar – Thekkady
After breakfast, drive to Thekkady, one of Kerala’s most popular wildlife and spice destinations. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, visit a spice plantation and explore the local market famous for aromatic spices, tea and handicrafts. You may also enjoy an optional cultural show or traditional martial arts performance in the evening. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 4: Thekkady – Alleppey Backwaters
After breakfast, proceed towards Alleppey, the "Venice of the East." Board a traditional Kerala houseboat or check in to your backwater stay as per the package. Cruise through tranquil canals, coconut groves, paddy fields and charming villages while experiencing Kerala’s famous backwaters. Overnight stay in Alleppey Houseboat.
Day 5: Alleppey – Kochi – Departure
Enjoy a relaxing breakfast on the houseboat before checking out. Drive back to Kochi and, depending on your departure schedule, enjoy some shopping or brief sightseeing. Later, transfer to Kochi Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, concluding your memorable Kerala Backwater Escape.
