Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai – City Highlights
Arrive at Mumbai Airport or Railway Station and transfer to your hotel. Begin your Maharashtra journey with some of Mumbai’s signature landmarks, including the Gateway of India, Marine Drive and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus area. Later, explore Colaba or spend the evening enjoying the city’s vibrant waterfront atmosphere. Overnight stay in Mumbai.
Day 2: Mumbai – Lonavala – Pune
After breakfast, leave Mumbai and drive towards Lonavala in the Western Ghats. Visit scenic locations such as Tiger Point, Lion’s Point and other accessible viewpoints. Continue towards Pune and check in to your hotel. In the evening, explore the local markets or enjoy Pune’s lively dining scene. Overnight stay in Pune.
Day 3: Pune Heritage Tour – Aurangabad
Start the morning with a glimpse into Pune’s heritage at Shaniwar Wada and Aga Khan Palace. Later, proceed towards Aurangabad. On arrival, check in to your hotel and unwind after the journey. If time permits, visit Bibi Ka Maqbara or explore the local surroundings. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.
Day 4: Ajanta Caves Excursion
Dedicate the day to the UNESCO-listed Ajanta Caves, an extraordinary collection of ancient Buddhist rock-cut monuments. Explore beautifully carved halls, monasteries, sculptures and historic paintings set within a dramatic horseshoe-shaped gorge. After an enriching visit, return to Aurangabad by evening. Day 5: Ellora Caves – Daulatabad Fort
After breakfast, head towards the spectacular Ellora Caves, where Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monuments stand together as remarkable examples of rock-cut architecture. Admire the magnificent Kailasa Temple before continuing to Daulatabad Fort. Later, return to Aurangabad and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.
Day 6: Aurangabad – Nashik
Check out after breakfast and drive towards Nashik. On arrival, visit Panchavati, Ramkund and selected temples associated with the city’s spiritual heritage. Depending on time and preference, explore the scenic surroundings or visit a local vineyard experience where available. Overnight stay in Nashik.
Day 7: Nashik – Mumbai – Departure
Enjoy breakfast before beginning the return journey to Mumbai. Depending on your flight or train schedule, transfer directly to Mumbai Airport or Railway Station for departure.
