Day 1: Guwahati – Dirang
Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and begin the journey towards Dirang. The drive gradually takes you from the plains of Assam into the beautiful mountain landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh. Reach Dirang by evening, check in to your hotel and unwind amid the peaceful valley surroundings. Overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 2: Dirang Sightseeing – Tawang
Begin the morning with a short exploration of Dirang, visiting attractions such as Dirang Dzong, the local monastery and scenic valley areas as time permits. Later, continue towards Tawang via the spectacular Sela Pass and Sela Lake. Stop at Jaswant Garh War Memorial and, if conditions allow, Nuranang Falls. Arrive in Tawang and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 3: Tawang Monastery & Local Tour
Today is dedicated to the cultural highlights of Tawang. Visit the impressive Tawang Monastery and explore its peaceful Buddhist surroundings. Continue to the Tawang War Memorial, local market and other nearby attractions. The evening is free to walk around the town, shop for local handicrafts or simply enjoy the Himalayan atmosphere. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 4: Bum La Pass & Sangetsar Lake Excursion
Set out for an adventurous excursion towards Bum La Pass, located near the India–China border, subject to special permits and road conditions. En route, visit the beautiful Sangetsar Lake, popularly known as Madhuri Lake, along with other scenic high-altitude lakes where accessible. Return to Tawang by evening. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 5: Tawang – Dirang
After breakfast, check out and drive back towards Dirang. Cross the dramatic landscapes around Sela Pass and enjoy selected scenic stops along the journey. Arrive in Dirang by evening and check in to your hotel. Spend your final evening in Arunachal Pradesh relaxing amid the serene mountain surroundings. Overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 6: Dirang – Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast, leave Dirang and drive back to Guwahati. Enjoy the changing scenery as the Himalayan valleys gradually give way to the plains of Assam. On arrival, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, bringing your Dirang and Tawang holiday to a memorable close.
