Day 1: Arrival in Dimapur – Kohima
Arrive at Dimapur Airport or Railway Station and drive towards Kohima, the scenic capital of Nagaland. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, explore the local market and enjoy your first glimpse of Naga handicrafts, textiles and regional cuisine. Overnight stay in Kohima.
Day 2: Kohima Heritage & Cultural Tour
After breakfast, explore the historical and cultural landmarks of Kohima. Visit the Kohima War Cemetery, Nagaland State Museum and other selected attractions. Later, explore the Kisama Heritage Village area, known as the venue of the famous Hornbill Festival and for showcasing architectural traditions from different Naga communities. Overnight stay in Kohima.
Day 3: Khonoma Village Excursion
Today, head towards Khonoma, a picturesque village surrounded by terraced fields and forested hills. Explore the village with a local guide where available, learning about its history, traditional architecture, agricultural practices and community-led conservation. Enjoy the peaceful countryside before returning to Kohima by evening. Overnight stay in Kohima.
Day 4: Kohima – Dimapur – Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back towards Dimapur. Depending on your departure schedule, enjoy some free time for shopping or visit a nearby attraction before transferring to Dimapur Airport or Railway Station. Your Nagaland journey concludes with memories of Kohima’s history, Naga cultural traditions and Khonoma’s beautiful landscapes.
